The Queen Charlotte Cafe is ran by an extremely pleasant couple, where the husband serves the customers and his wife prepares the food.  The cafe has a fair choice of tea, and the tea sets are all different and unique (and each tea pot has its own little 'jacket'!).  The traditional high tea is extremely well priced, appoximately $17 per person, especially compared to the other fancy hotels such as the nearby Princess of Whales Hotel.  The little cafe does not have an official website, but you can send an email through this website to make reservations.  The sandwiches for the high tea was the most tasty portion of the whole high tea experience as the chef combined whole wheat and white bread in one sandwich, making the look and texture of each bite slightly different than typical sandwiches.  The scones were fair as the textures weren't moist enought for my liking and does not have much flavour.  Luckily the self-made whipped butter and fruit preserves were delicious.  The petite flours and pastries were the most disapointing of all.  Most of them were too sweet and they didn't even look all that attractive.

The fish and chips were the HIGHLIGHT of the whole experience.  The batter for the fish was thin, crispy and the fish was thick and juicy.  The fries were so good that no words could fairly describe the experience.  I wasn't sure if it was the oil, the thick and weird cuts, or if the fries were soaked in a special recipe, it was definitely different than any fries I've ever tasted.

Overall, the experience at Queen Charlotte Tea Cafe was good with the atmosphere, price, and the food so I would definitely go back again.
