When we arrived at Gladstone hotel, we were very troubled which restaurant we should go to one side is a lounge-restaurant and the right side is a more casual bar like setting.  After talking to the people at the front desk, we were told both sides serve the same food, so we went to the lounge-restaurant side.  We were greeted by the bartender, who was also the server for the whole area.  Immediately I knew it was going to be a long meal.  The place was a lot more smaller than I've imagined, and the tables were quite close together.  The whole decor had a very urban feel.. which was quite nice.
Chocolate Martini

Started the meal with a few cocktails and empty stomach.. definitely not a good idea!  I was drunk before we even started appetizer haha.
Pok Pok Wings

Calamari Enchilata
I gotta say, the Pok Pok wings were very delicious.  It had a Vietnam influence (spices and the carrot and turnip salad at the side) but I did think it was on the pricey end.  The calamari was served on a taco.. which was rather creative.  If you just ate the calamari on its own, it was way too salty... but if you ate it with the sour cream, tomato, cucumber and taco... the taste was unbelievable!

Cosmo

Chili Rubbed Halibut

Grilled Cumbrae Striploin Steak
As for the main dishes, they were perfectly executed but a little on the small end.  Beautiful presentation and taste.. definitely thumbs up.  The beef was very tender, and it didn't have that nasty blood flowing out like some other steaks I've had before when it wasn't rested enough.  As you can see from the picture, it was a very beautiful medium rare.  The halibut on the noodle was also very good, the chili spice and the halibut kept it light yet it had that 'kick' to it.  The noodle itself wasn't a huge surprise, but it still tasted great.

Nutella Brownie

Deconstructed Manchego Cheesecake

Coconut Chai Latte
The dessert and the Coconut chai latte was the worst part of the meal.  The chai latte was flavorless... just.. disappointing.  The deconstructed cheesecake was interesting.. but I just didn't really like it.  The brownie tasted like brownies I could get anywhere else.. so not much of a surprise there but it was still delicious.  Overall, the experience was pleasant and the food was delicious... so recommended.. yet I wasn't totally full although I already had a 3 course meal.
